On the afternoon of October 30, 2019, representatives of Chonnam National University, Korea visited and worked at Hanoi pedagogical University 2. Welcoming and working with the delegation were Dr. Bui Kien Cuong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice-rector; with representatives of Leadership units: Science Management & International Relations Office, Foreign Languages faculty, Mathematics faculty.
At the opening of the meeting, Dr. Mai Xuan Dung - Deputy Head Science Management & International Relations Office - introduced the basic features of Hanoi Pedagogical University 2, and expressed his desire to cooperate in training and research science with Chonnam National University in the coming time.
Following the meeting, Mr. Sungyeol IM introduced the history and development process of his university. Chonnam National University (Chonnam National University) was established in 1952, located in Gwangju city, Chonnam province, southwest of Korea. This is a university which has quality education, modern facilities and creating many favorable conditions for international students. At present, Chonnam has more than 37,000 students and 2,200 teaching, learning and research staff at 3 campuses: Hakdong, Yeosu, and Gwangju.
At present, the university is managing 19 affiliated universities, 09 graduate universities with 59 different faculties of teaching. Chonam National University is one of the five largest national universities in Korea with a diverse number of faculties and disciplines. The university with the goal of building a world-class university, a dynamic and open learning environment for both Korean students and international students. Students not only receive specialized training but also participate in many extra-curricular activities and cultural exchanges to develop themselves comprehensively.
Continuing the introduction of the two universities, the members of the meeting had an honest exchange on issues of mutual interest: Regarding graduate training for young lecturers - Hanoi Pedagogical University2; cooperation in scientific research, especially in the field of Educational Science between Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 and National Education - National University of Chonnam; About graduate scholarship opportunities for graduates of Hanoi Pedagogical University 2; About cooperation in training Korean, Vietnamese and student exchange.
After the discussion, representatives of the two universities presented souvenirs to partners, the two sides will continue to exchange to sign a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the future.
